Kai Havertz: “We’re not there yet.”

Speaking after Germany’s 1-1 draw against the Netherlands on Tuesday night, Kai Havertz discussed the friendly and the development of the squad under head coach Hansi Flick.

“The fans definitely enjoyed it,” said Havertz. “It was a good game from both teams. We controlled the game for 60 minutes but then lost possession too often in the opposition half. We’re in a process and we’re not there yet, but games like that help us.”

Thomas Müller opened the scoring against the Netherlands before Steven Bergwijn equalised in the second-half.
