Bayern Munich submit opening offer to Juventus for Matthijs de Ligt

Bayern Munich have submitted an opening offer to Juventus for Matthijs de Ligt, according to Bild.

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić and technical director Marco Neppe travelled to Turin today to undergo discussions with the Italian side for De Ligt. Per the report, Bayern offered an opening offer of €60m plus future bonuses of over €10m for the Dutch central-defender.

Salihamidžić and Neppe met with Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini and advisor Rafaela Pimenta with the Bayern duo returning to Munich at 19:25CET.

Negotiations between all parties will continue and it’s known that De Ligt wants to join Bayern Munich. The 22-year-old Dutch international has already reached a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich. Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United had also shown an interest, but are currently out of the running due to De Ligt’s desire to player for the Bundesliga champions.

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Juventus want around €80m and both clubs want a solution quickly as they plan for their respective seasons.
