Julian Nagelsmann rules out Tanguy Nianzou departure

Speaking to media, Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann has ruled out a loan move for 19-year-old central-defender Tanguy Nianzou.

“Loaning Tanguy is not an option. He will stay with us. He’s developed well and he’s a great talent that is still firmly planned in my head and not one that I would want to lend,” said Nagelsmann.

It had been previously suggested that Nianzou would leave in the summer with AS Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig interested.

However, the Frenchman is on the cusp of a regular starting place with Niklas Süle joining Borussia Dortmund in the summer and Bayern identifying other areas of the squad to strengthen first.

Nianzou has played 486 minutes of Bundesliga football this season but has played three full 90 minutes in his last four league games.
