Hoffenheim interested in RB Salzburg’s Junior Adamu

Hoffenheim are interested in signing RB Salzburg forward Junior Adamu, according to Kicker.

However, for Hoffenheim to make a move, they would have to sell one of David Raum or Christoph Baumgartner to fund a move for Adamu. Per the report, RB Salzburg would expected around €8m for the 21-year-old, who has three-years remaining on his current deal.

Andrej Kramarić, Munas Dabbur, Ihlas Bebou and Georginio Rutter failed to his double figures for Hoffenheim last season as they missed out on European football, hence their interest in strengthening their attack.

Raum has attracted concrete interest from Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund whilst Baumgartner, who has a reported release clause of around €30m, is being monitored by MUFC and Liverpool.

Adamu scored seven and created five in 30 Austrian Bundesliga games for RB Salzburg last season, but he’ll be remembered for scoring against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Hoffenheim have been relatively quiet on the market this summer, signing Grischa Prömel and Finn Ole Becker on free transfers.
