Future of Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko remains uncertain

The future of Youssoufa Moukoko (18) at Borussia Dortmund remains uncertain. In the last week, reports have circulated suggesting that the Germany international is on the verge of reaching an agreement with a club and would not be signing an extension, but speaking exclusively to Sky Germany, agent Patrick Williams discussed the situation.

“I can confirm that we are not yet about to sign a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund,” Williams told Sky Germany. “I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that way. But we are still in contact with Borussia Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring.”

Williams didn’t want to comment on the rumours, but added: “A player like Youssoufa is interesting for all the top clubs in the world. Even more so when he’s on a free and has a future with the German national team.”

According to Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund’s extension offer to Moukoko wasn’t between €5m and €6m as previously reported and that Chelsea are pushing to sign Moukoko, who wants a decision on his future shortly.

Moukoko is the youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history and is also the youngest player to play for Germany since 1954. With 12 goal contributions (6 goals, 6 assists) in 22 games across all competitions this season, he’s also BVB’s go to player in the final third.
