Speaking to Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, FC Köln head coach Steffen Baumgart has hinted that he could sign a contract extension with the Bundesliga club.
“If the club would like that, we can talk about an extension. In any case, I don’t plan to pack my things anytime soon,” said Baumgart.
Appointed as head coach last summer following a spell at Paderborn, Baumgart has a contract with Köln until 2023. The 50-year-old is lauded in the cathedral city with the Billy Goats just three points off a Europa League spot.
