Evan Ndicka could leave Eintracht Frankfurt this winter as contract talks stall

According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt have placed a new price tag of €15m on Evan Ndicka should he reject signing a contract extension. The defender’s current contract expires in June 2023 and the club would not want the youngster to leave on a free transfer.

The 23-year-old’s reluctance to sign a new deal at Frankfurt could be down to the possibility of a move to either the Premier League or Serie A. As per the report, both Arsenal and Juventus have been keeping tabs on the left centre-back and may make a move for him during the January transfer window.

The Eagles’ sporting director Markus Krösche (42) told Bild about Ndicka and Kamada, whose contract is also expiring: “There has not yet been a decision as to which direction to go. We didn’t give them an ultimatum either. The offer is still available and we are in exchange.”

The thought process of the Frankfurt board is a clear one. They would love for Ndicka to extend his stay but would also not risk the possibility of letting him leave for nothing in June. January could prove to be a pivotal one for both Ndicka and Frankfurt.
