Eintracht Frankfurt’s Markus Krösche confirms Ali Akman in talks to leave on loan

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has confirmed that Ali Akman as left the Bundesliga club’s training camp in Austria due to ongoing transfer negotiations.

“Ali is in the process of speaking to a club about a loan again, that’s why we released him,” Krösche told Kicker. Akman spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen, scoring six league goals in 28 games.

The 20-year-old will find a place in Eintracht’s squad difficult to come by with Rafael Borré joining the club last summer, SGE further adding Lucas Alario and Mario Götze to the team last month.

Regarded as one of the top talents in Turkish football, Akman has represented Turkey at every youth level. He joined Eintracht last summer on a free transfer from Bursaspor but is yet to make his Eintracht Frankfurt debut.

With less than five weeks remaining until the Bundesliga season, we can still expect SGE to be busy this summer. Filip Kostić, Evan Ndicka and Daicha Kamada are all entering the final year of their contracts.
