Edin Terzić praises Borussia Dortmund’s mentality after comeback against Bayern Munich

Speaking after Borussia Dortmund’s comeback against Bayern Munich in Saturday’s Klassiker, BVB’s Edin Terzić praised the mentality of his players after goals from Youssoufa Moukoko and Anthony Modeste secured a 2-2 draw.

“It was a very intense match. In the first half in particular, we defended very well and kept it compact in the middle. It got wild towards the end; that was also the aim of the substitutions,” said Terzić.

“What was very positive was that we believed up until the last moment that something was still possible. It was a very deserved point, because we created many chances at the end. When you’re 2-0 down against Bayern, the match normally ends 4-0 or 5-0. That didn’t happen today. We were able to put an exclamation mark behind the mentality question for today.”

Bayern Munich took the lead through Leon Goretzka before Leroy Sané doubled their lead in the second-half. Introduced after 70 minutes, Modeste assisted Moukoko before the Frenchman headed the ball in at the far post to secure a point.
