On Wednesday, Darmstadt reported multiple positive Covid-19 cases within their camp. According to the club, all those infected are now isolating away from the rest of the squad.
Currently second in the table, this could not have come at a worse time for Darmstadt who are looking ahead to a busy April.
The club’s Sporting Director, Carsten Wehlmann released a statement saying: “The situation that has now arisen is of course not optimal with regard to the preparation for the hot phase of the season. But the squad has already shown that they have a real mentality this season.”
Darmstadt are due to play Holstein Kiel on April 2nd after the international break.
