Daichi Kamada has no agreement with Borussia Dortmund

As reported by Sport1 and Sky Germany, Daichi Kamada has not began negotiations with Borussia Dortmund about a proposed free transfer in the summer and there is no agreement between him or the club.

Sport1 are also reporting that Kamada is preferring a move abroad and has been linked to clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur in the past. However, it is likely that Kamada won’t sign a new contract at Eintracht Frankfurt. The Japan international also came close to joining Benfica in the summer.

Kamada joined Frankfurt in 2017 from Sagan Tosu in Japan for €1.6m and has made 150 appearances for them in that time and was key in their run to winning the Europa League last season. This season, Kamada already has 12 goals and four assists in 26 appearances. His goal tally in the league is already his best ever with Frankfurt.

The 26-year-old played in all four of Japan’s games at the World Cup as his team were knocked out at the Round of 16 stage against Croatia.
