Bayern Munich will not put any obstacles in the way of Martin Demichelis joining River Plate

It is looking likely that Martin Demichelis will leave his role as a youth coach at Bayern Munich this winter as he is linked with the vacant River Plate job.

BILD reports that Demichelis is open to the move to his ‘dream club’ River Plate, where he is one of the front runners for the role. Demichelis is a former River Plate player and has been wanting a job in his homeland for a while.

If Demichelis is to leave Bayern, BILD reports that the Bavarians will not get in the way of his move. It is likely that Demichelis will leave Bayern after the end of the first round of the Bavarian Regional League fixtures.

The Argentine joined Bayern’s youth set up as a coach in 2019. Two years later he would be promoted to become head coach of Bayern Munich II. He has a contract with Bayern until 2023.
