Bayern Munich want Konrad Laimer but unwilling to pay high transfer fee

According to Kicker, Bayern Munich want to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer but will not pay an unreasonable fee for the midfielder.

Laimer only has one year left on his contract which is why Bayern are reluctant to pay over the odds for someone who they could get for free next summer.

It’s reported that Bayern are convinced of the Austrian international’s qualities and could see him as a regular in the Bayern team.

Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann is keen to reconnect and work with Laimer just as they did when the 34-year-old managed Leipzig.

Despite the talk of a possible transfer, Leipzig’s representatives are determined to keep their midfielder.

The club’s technical director Christopher Vivell underlined Leipzig’s stance by saying: “We wanted to keep the core together, we will succeed.”

With this mindset, it’s believed that only a high transfer sum would tempt Leipzig into selling one of their key players to a rival club.
