Speaking to Bild am Sonntag, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has confirmed that Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has signed a contract with the Bundesliga club.
“He signed,” said Salihamidžić. “We’ve completed the deal and we’re very happy that he’s here and can get started with us. He has great strengths, great technique and is able to resolve situations in tight spaces. With his dynamism, he can drive the ball forward, is a goal threat but can also defend. He will take the next step with us.”
Gravenberch arrived in Munich on Saturday morning before heading straight to Bayern’s Säbener Straße HQ to sign a five-year contract until 2027 after completing his medical checks last week.
The 20-year-old will join for a reported base fee of €18m plus a further €5.5m in bonuses. Ajax will also receive 7% of any future sale for the Netherlands international.
Gravenberch played 42 games in all competitions for Ajax last season, scoring three and creating six. He becomes Bayern Munich’s second summer signing following the arrival of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax.
