Bayer Leverkusen’s Amine Adli to miss the rest of the season

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen confirm that 21-year-old forward Amine Adli will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ligament in his right thigh.

Adli picked up the injury playing for France U21s against the Faroe Islands on Thursday 24 March. The Frenchman is expected to return to training in pre-season.

Bayer Leverkusen also confirm that Florian Wirtz underwent a successful operation on his left knee in Innsbruck after the 18-year-old suffered a torn ligament against local rivals Köln in March.
