Bayer Leverkusen confirm that 18-year-old midfielder Florian Wirtz will be out for several months after tearing his ACL in his left knee during their 1-0 defeat to FC Köln on Sunday afternoon.
The Germany international went down after a coming together with Köln defender Luca Kilian.
Wirtz has played 31 games in all competitions for B04 this season, scoring 10 and creating 14.
