Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has revealed details on Marcus Thuram’s failed move to Italian side Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
“It’s true that Inter showed great interest and there was a very specific offer,” Eberl told Bild. “But first of all, Marcus didn’t want to leave. Second, we looked at the offer but didn’t want to let him go. Then there was the injury.”
It’s still unclear as to what Inter’s offer to Gladbach was for Thuram, who has played just 42 minutes of football this season due to a knee injury.
