Marco Rose could influence Thomas Delaney’s future: “I’ll have to take it into consideration.”

Speaking to Danish outlet Bold, 29-year-old midfielder Thomas Delaney has commented on his Borussia Dortmund future with Marco Rose incoming as head coach.

“I’m sure the club are weighing up the situation and the same goes for me,” said Delaney. “We will be getting a new coach in the summer and he could influence my plans. If he wants to move in a certain direction, I’ll have to take it into consideration.

“I might not have played much lately but it’s not the first time I’ve experienced something like this. Therefore I’m actually quite satisfied, apart from the fact that we haven’t performed the way we have wanted to as a team.”

The Denmark international has played just 14 Bundesliga games this season, eight of which have been under interim head coach Edin Terzić.

Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach Marco Rose will take charge in the summer.
