As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten and Kicker, Borussia Dortmund have opened contract extension talks with 25-year-old midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud.
Both sides want to continue their cooperation although a conclusion is yet to be found. Talks have been ongoing for several weeks with a further meeting on Tuesday expecting to bring clarity.
Dahoud has just one year remaining on his current deal, running until 2022, with the central midfielder having positive talks with new head coach Marco Rose regarding his role in the BVB squad.
