Luka Jović to undergo Eintracht Frankfurt medical on Thursday ahead of loan move

According to Bild, Real Madrid striker Luka Jović will today undergo his medical with Eintracht Frankfurt before joining the Bundesliga club on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old will replace Bas Dost, who joined Club Brugge. The loan does not include an option to purchase but Eintracht Frankfurt will be free to negotiate with the Spanish side should they wish to make the loan a permanent one in the summer.

Speaking on Tuesday, sporting director Fredi Bobic confirmed the loan agreement prior to their DFB Pokal game at Bayer Leverkusen: “Luka Jovic is on the verge of a loan to us until the summer. We still need to sort out a few things – the medical, for example. If everything comes together, he’ll soon be back with us.”

As a result of signing Jović on loan, Eintracht Frankfurt are no longer pursuing Joshua Zirkzee (Bayern Munich) or Randal Kolo Muani (Nantes).

Jović joined Real Madrid in 2019 for €63 million but has played just 32 games in all competitions, scoring two and creating two.
