Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin have today confirmed that 18-year-old left-back Luca Netz is undergoing a medical at Borussia Mönchengladbach ahead of a permanent move.
Netz was absent from training on Wednesday and will join Gladbach for a reported €4m fee despite Hertha’s attempted to get the German to sign a new contract.
“We tried everything to get him a new contract. We made him a very decent offer,” sporting director Fredi Bobic told Bild.
In Berlin, Netz had Marvin Plattenhardt and Maximilian Mittelstädt to contend with for the left-back position.
