Loaning out Youssoufa Moukoko is not an option for Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund’s head of licensed player division Sebastian Kehl has stated that 16-year-old forward Youssoufa Moukoko will not be loaned out in January.

“We will give Youssoufa the time he needs for development as a 16-year-old. He’s very ambitious and wants to improve every day,” Kehl told Sport Bild. “A loan in winter is not an option, not for Youssoufa nor for us.”

Moukoko has played 161 minutes of football this season and is yet to find the net under head coach Marco Rose. The German youth international made his first Bundesliga start last December against Werder Bremen, under then interim head coach Edin Terzic.
