Jesse Marsch: “It’s hard to accept.”

Speaking to DAZN after RB Leipzig’s 3-2 defeat at PSG in the Champions League, head coach Jesse Marsch discussed Tyler Adams’ mistake that resulted in Lionel Messi making it 2-2.

“We made a very, very serious mistake,” said Marsch. “It’s hard to accept and I don’t know why we made it so easy for our opponents at such a moment and when that happens at this level, Messi and Mbappé are ready.”

Pressured by Achraf Hakimi in his own half, Adams lost possession and the loose ball was picked up by Kylian Mbappé who found Messi, the Argentine made it 2-2 before scoring a penalty to make 3-2.

RB Leipzig sit bottom of their Champions League group and winless after three games.
