Hoffenheim sign Angelo Stiller (Bayern Munich) on a 4-year contract

Hoffenheim have today announced the signing of 20-year-old German midfielder Angelo Stiller from Bayern Munich on a free transfer.

Stiller will join the Sinsheim club on a four-year contract when his Bayern Munich deal expires in the summer.

“Angelo is certainly one of the most exciting talents in central midfield and has already gained professional experience at Bayern despite the extremely high competition,” said sporting director Alexander Rosen. “He has a very fine left foot, acts skilfully and consistently in duels and has a high level of game intelligence.”

Rosen wants to nurture talent at Hoffenheim, “It’s an essential part of Hoffenheim’s DNA to find young, highly talented players, to integrate them responsibly into our professional team and to develop them. This has distinguished us in the past few years and applies both talents from our academy to players that we recruit through our strong scouting.”

Stiller played under Hoffenheim head coach Sebastian Hoeneß when they played a decisive role in Bayern Munich II’s 3. Liga championship.
