Hansi Flick on drawing PSG: “It’s important to play two strong games.”

Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick has reacted to drawing Ligue 1 champions Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals.

“There are only strong opponents in the quarter-finals,” said Flick. “It’s important to play two strong games, we want to show progress. PSG are strong opponents, they showed that in the final last season but we’ve also shown our quality in the Champions League.”

Manuel Neuer added: “PSG are of course a great team with great players, a great group. We saw that in the final in Lisbon, that was a close match. It will be a difficult task and two huge games. We’ll do our best to win. It will depend on the form and the right attitude.”

It’s a repeat of last season’s Champions League final where Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman scored the only goal of the game, clinching Bayern’s first European trophy since 2013’s victory against Borussia Dortmund.
