Everton in talks to sign Joshua Zirkzee (Bayern Munich)

According to Sky Germany, Premier League club Everton are in talks to sign Bayern Munich forward Joshua Zirkzee on loan with an option to buy.

Clubs from Italy – Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that Parma were in talks – Belgium and Netherlands have also shown an interest in signing the 19-year-old Dutchman.

No club is yet to reach an agreement although it is highly likely that Zirkzee will leave Bayern Munich in January in search of first team football having found himself behind summer arrival Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Eintracht Frankfurt had shown significant interest that has since cooled following the six-month loan signing of Luka Jovic from Real Madrid. Fellow Bundesliga side FC Köln have also made an enquiry.

Recent reports have already suggested that Bayern Munich will allow Zirkzee to leave in January having played just 91 minutes of Bundesliga football across three games this season.

As Sky Germany journalist Max Bielefeld states, this transfer may not be decided until deadline day.
