Eintracht Frankfurt appoint Ben Manga as Director of Sport

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have extended the contract of chief scout Ben Manga until 2026. The 47-year-old will take on a new role at the Bundesliga club as their Director of Sport.

“We’ve made a lot of changes and developments at Eintracht Frankfurt in recent years,” said Manga. “I still see many development opportunities at the club and I’m very happy to remain a part of the Eintracht family. Eintracht are structured in a stable and competent manner, and that’s an important prerequisite for a successful future.”

Fredi Bobic, who has been linked with a role at Hertha Berlin, added: “Ben has played a big part in Eintracht’s current success and development in recent years. His flair for talent-spotting and gifts as a scout are very pronounced and will come to the fore even more in this new structure.”

Per Eintracht Frankfurt, the role of sporting director will cease to exist at the club when Bruno Hübner leaves and they also plan on appointing a technical director before the end of the season.
