Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has commented on the loss of income and offering contract extensions to Matthias Ginter and Denis Zakaria.
“In addition to the failures caused by the pandemic, a second meteor his us. Due to the smaller TV contract, we had €16m less income,” Eberl told Bild. “But the stadiums are getting full again. If everything goes on like this, the next goal is to make adequate offers to both of them [Ginter and Zakaria].”
Contracts of both Ginter and Zakaria expire at the end of the season whilst AS Roma have shown concrete interest in signing Switzerland international Zakaria.
