Bayer Leverkusen in talks to sign Demarai Gray from Leicester City

According to Sport1, Bayer Leverkusen have opened negotiations with Premier League side Leicester City for the transfer of 24-year-old winger Demarai Gray.

The Englishman has a contract with Leicester City until the summer but would be available to leave Brendan Rodgers’ team in January should a club meet their €2 million valuation.

Gray joined the Foxes from Birmingham City in 2016 and has played 169 games in all competitions but has made just one Premier League appearance for Leicester City this season – and also sat out of their last two league games against Southampton and Newcastle United.

Bayer Leverkusen are actively looking to sign a winger and have been priced out of a move this transfer window for 18-year-old FC Nordsjælland winger Kamaldeen Sulemana – the Danish club want €12 million.

Peter Bosz has already made one January signing with the arrival of 23-year-old Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah for €2m. The Dutchman has signed a contract with B04 until 2024.
