Timo Werner can join Liverpool for £51m if they agree deal before April deadline

RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner has received proposals from Barcelona and Manchester United but it waiting to see whether Liverpool make a move, according to The Athletic.

The Germany international has been the subject of intense transfer talk for a year now before signing a contract extension in August with RB Leipzig following the arrival of Julian Nagelsmann as head coach.

Per the report, there is a clause in Werner’s contract that will allow him to leave for £51 million if a deal if negotiated before April.

Werner has scored 27 goals and assisted 11 in 33 games this season for RB Leipzig, his best season to date.

Bayern Munich had also shown interest in Werner, which seems to have cooled in the past weeks with the Bundesliga leaders focusing on Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.
