Thomas Müller: “I’m delighted that I could show that I still have something in the tank and that I don’t belong in the bottle bank.”

Speaking after Bayern Munich’s 1-0 defeat of PSG in the Champions League final, 30-year-old attacker Thomas Müller discussed his immediate thoughts and his role under Hansi Flick.

“The way we played, we felt we deserved it even though we had a bit of luck and had Manuel Neuer in goal. Now we’re at the top. When you win, the atmosphere is great. For me, this feels incredible. The results weren’t that great in Autumn and I wasn’t happy with my role in the squad. I’m delighted that I could show that I still have something in the tank and that I don’t belong in the bottle bank.”
