Manuel Neuer’s number two, Sven Ulreich, has admitted he will have to find a new club following the announcement that Alexander Nübel will join Bayern Munich in the summer.
“When such a young goalkeeper is on the market, you have to make an effort. I was informed about it yesterday. My contract runs until 2021, this is a new situation for me, I have to orientate myself,” said Ulreich.
The 31-year-old joined Bayern from Stuttgart in 2015 but has played just 69 games for the Bundesliga champions.
With the arrival of Nübel on a five-year contract in the summer, Ulreich would find himself as Bayern’s No. 3 goalkeeper, something that isn’t an option for the German.
