According to Sky Germany, Southampton will not exercise their option to sign Augsburg defender Kevin Danso on a permanent contract.
The 21-year-old has failed to impress during his loan spell at the Premier League club, who have a €4 million buy-option placed in his loan contract.
With Augsburg choosing to exercise their purchase option in 22-year-old Wolfsburg defender Felix Uduokhai, Danso may be forced to look for a new club in the summer.
Werder Bremen, FC Köln, Hamburg and Stuttgart have all shown interest in signing the centre-back.
