Schalke’s transfer strategy: “We’re in a wait & see position.” – Schneider

Schalke sporting director Jochen Schneider has discussed the Bundesliga club’s transfer strategy with the ongoing health crisis having a financial impact across football.

“We’re in a wait and see position,” said Schneider. “We have to make sure that we finish the season and then we’ll see. Of course, we are having loose discussions right now.”

According to Fussball Transfers, Schalke are interested in signing AS Monaco left-back Fodé Ballo-Touré whilst the future of Jean-Clair Todibo remaining uncertain.

Schalke want to sign the Frenchman permanently however, they may now be unable to pay the €25 million fee to make Todibo’s loan move from Barcelona permanent.
