According to Sky Germany, Bundesliga side Schalke are working on a loan deal to sign Arsenal defender Sead Kolašinac.
The 27-year-old wants to return to Germany and would be willing to forego a percentage of his salary to push for a return to Schalke.
Kolašinac has just played 90 minutes of Premier League football this season and Arsenal would be willing to allow the left-back to depart the club.
The Bosnia international made his Schalke debut in 2012 and played 123 games in all competitions for the Royal Blues before joining Arsenal on a free transfer in 2017.
Schalke had shown an interest in re-signing Kolašinac during the summer transfer but a deal failed to materialise. At one stage, fellow Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen were also in active negotiations with Arsenal to sign the defender.
Per the report, all parties are close to reaching a deal and an transfer could be announced in the coming days.
