Speaking after Borussia Dortmund’s 11-2 win against Austria Wien, head coach Lucien Favre confirmed the Bundesliga club are in negotiations to sign 18-year-old Real Madrid attacker Reinier on loan.
“We want to borrow him,” Favre told Sport1. “But it’s not done yet. It’s in the pipeline. He’s a nine-and-a-half and can also play as a false striker and on the wing. From what I’ve seen, he’s very good offensively and a very, very good finisher.”
Fellow Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen have also shown interest in signing the Brazilian but at the minute, Borussia are leading the chase to sign Reinier.
With Favre confirming that it’s in the pipeline, it may only be a matter of time before we see the young attacker in the famous black and yellow.
