Speaking to WAZ, Ralf Rangnick has dismissed claims suggesting the former RB Leipzig head coach and sporting director will return to Schalke after the dismissal of David Wagner.
“At the moment, I can’t imagine coming to Schalke for a third time and certainly not as a coach,” said Rangnick.
Wagner was sacked as head coach on Sunday after picking up just six points from a possible 54. Per Bild, Rangnick is one of four coaches the Bundesliga club have identified as a replacement.
