Schalke head coach David Wagner has confirmed the Bundesliga club will be without midfielder Omar Mascarell for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old is out with a torn adductor tendon, bringing his season to an early end.
Mascarell has played an important role under Wagner at Schalke this season, playing 26 games in all competitions.
