Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Real Madrid defender Álvaro Odriozola on loan until the end of the season, whilst it’s believed Bayern don’t have a purchase option.
The Bundesliga club had been searching for a new right-back with preference to play Joshua Kimmich in midfield, making Benjamin Pavard the only remaining option.
“We are convinced that Álvaro Odriozola will help out team with his qualities. I’m glad we found a full-back like that,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić.
The Spain international joined Real Madrid from Real Sociedad in 2018 but has played just 344 minutes of La Liga football this season.
