Fortuna Düsseldorf today announced the signing of 29-year-old central defender Mathias Jørgensen from Fenerbahçe on loan until the end of the season.
The Denmark international will play an important role in Fortuna’s battle against relegation, adding much needed experience to their defence.
“The last few hours have been very hectic, but I am happy that I have now arrived at Fortuna. Lutz Pfannenstiel and Uwe Rösler made a very professional first impression on me in our first discussions,” said Jørgensen.
