Bayer Leverkusen defender Panagiotis Retsos has joined Premier League outfit Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old Greece international departs the Bundesliga on loan followin the arrival of Vitória Guimarães defender Edmond Tapsoba.
“Panos lost an entire year due to injuries and now it’s important for him to play football. Going to Sheffield United offers him the highest level (of competition) to get himself back into top shape,” said Bayer sporting director Rudi Voller.
