Hertha Berlin have today announced the signing of 21-year-old French midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi on loan without an obligation to buy.
Guendouzi becomes Hertha’s second midfield signing following the transfer of Lyon midfielder Louis Tousart in January, the Frenchman spending the last six months back on loan at the Ligue 1 club before becoming a first team member of Hertha this summer.
Hertha will pay €4m to sign Guendouzi on loan and will pay the Frenchman’s wages in full. The Frenchman will return to Clairefontaine this afternoon once the deal is complete.
