Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen have today confirmed the signing of 24-year-old striker Patrik Schick from AS Roma, joining for a reported €29 million including bonuses.
The Czech Republic international spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig, scoring 10 goals and creating two in 22 Bundesliga games for Julian Nagelsmann last season. RBL had made an attempt to sign Schick on a permanent deal, but were unable to match Roma’s valuation.
B04 have lost both Kai Havertz and Kevin Volland so far this summer, but the arrival of Schick is likely to ease the goalscoring burden on Lucas Alario.
Schick has signed a five-year contract.
