Kicker report that Schalke midfielder Nabil Bentaleb will join Premier League side Newcastle Untied on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Newcastle United will have an option to buy the Algeria international for around €10 million with Bentaleb expected to undergo a medical on Monday.
The 25-year-old has been frozen out of the Schalke squad for disciplinary reasons and has yet to feature for the first team this season.
