Speaking extensively to Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has praised 17-year-old midfielder Gio Reyna ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.
“Giovanni made a huge leap forward in the second half of last season,” said Zorc. “At the age of 17, he has already played 15 Bundesliga games, has been in the starting XI several times and shows against RB Leipzig that he can definitely play at the highest level.
“Gio is still extremely young but has a lot of the qualities that we need, especially technical ability, speed and the ability to score goals. I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun with him in the new season.”
Reyna was involved in Borussia Dortmund’s 6-0 win against Altach.
