Speaking at Borussia Dortmund’s pre-match press conference ahead of their Bundesliga fixture vs FC Köln, sporting director Michael Zorc praised Erling Braut Haaland.
“You don’t have to keep Erling grounded,” said Zorc. “He radiates so much positive dynamism. Why should you try and stop that? He’s a player who leads the way and that does us a lot of good.”
The 20-year-old has 10 Bundesliga goals in just seven games this season, adding to the six goals he’s scored in this season’s Champions League group stages.
BVB head coach Lucien Favre added: “Erling will certainly be ready to play. If I have my way, he will get a rest as late as possible.”
Favre was asked about fitness having to play a game every three or four days: “All teams have this problem. We always have to see who can play. Some players will have to play all of the games. There’s no way around it.”
