Borussia Dortmund have extended the contract of 34-year-old defender Lukasz Piszczek by one-year, the club announced on Wednesday.
The Pole is in his 11th season at Borussia Dortmund and when his new deal expires at the age of 36, Piszczek will end his professional career.
“Lukasz Piszczek is an absolute leader in our team and he’s also in top physical shape, so it was only logical to extend the contract with him for another year,” said sporting director Michael Zorc.
