Leeds United in advanced negotiations to sign Robin Koch

The Athletic reports that Premier League newcomers Leeds united are close to agreeing a deal with Freiburg for defender Robin Koch.

The two clubs are reportedly close to agreeing on a fee in the region of €14.5 million. If a deal is agreed, Leeds are keen to bring the 24-year-old defender to England this weekend for a medical.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have accelerated talks in recent days after the West Yorkshire club had several bids for Brighton and Hove Albion’s Ben White rejected.

Koch, who can play both as a central-defender or defensive-midfielder, was called up to the German national team for their UEFA Nations League games against Spain and Switzerland in September.
