Kingsley Coman welcomes Bayern Munich’s interest in Leroy Sané

Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman welcomes the Bundesliga club’s interest in signing 24-year-old Manchester City attacker Leroy Sané, despite the possibility of the Frenchman losing his place.

“He’s a very good player,” Coman told Sport Bild. “It’s normal for Bayern to want a player like him. If Sané comes, it would not be a problem unless the clubs tells me they no longer need me. But I believe that the clubs knows what they have in me.

“When I came to Bayern, we had Arjen Robben, Franck Ribéry, Douglas Costa and myself. I was a youngster and the legends Robben & Ribéry were ahead of me. So you can see that this is not a problem for me. It’s better for the team when there are many players at this level.”

Coman has played 15 games under Hansi Flick this season, scoring three and creating two in all competitions. The arrival of Sané appears to be imminent and with Serge Gnabry Flick’s preferred option, it could see Coman dropped to the bench.
