25-year-old central defender Kaan Ayhan has confirmed he will leave Fortuna Düsseldorf and is already at his new club.
“It is true. I have activated the exit clause and I’m already at my new club. More information in the next few days,” Ayhan told Bild.
According to Di Marzio, the Turkey international will join Sassuolo for a fee believed to be €1.5m. AS Roma have also shown an interest. Fortuna Düsseldorf claimed there is no deal as of yet but a final decision will be made on Monday as to whether Ayhan’s exit clause will take effect.
